You can easily build a cloche or row cover on any sheltered are where the soil is well-drained and reasonable fertile and free form perennial weeds. Having a cloche helps giving plants an early start in the spring, sometimes even up to 3 weeks ahead of unprotected plants, thing that is important for early vegetables and low-growing fruits like strawberries.
